Acceptance of Terms

By engaging Safeguard Safes, you agree to be bound by our Terms and Disclaimer, accepted by any of the following:

  • Signing and returning a quotation
  • Issuing a purchase order or reference number
  • Confirming a booking in writing (email, SMS, or other)
  • Paying in part or in full for goods or services

Payment Terms

  • Non-Account Customers: Full payment is required upon acceptance of a quotation. Balance must be paid in full prior to works commencing or goods being released.
  • Account Customers: Payment is required strictly in accordance with agreed account terms.
  • Ownership of Goods: All safes, vaults, and related products remain the property of Safeguard Safes until full payment is received.

If unforeseen circumstances impact costs, Safeguard will notify the client of any options, variations, or additional charges. The original quote remains payable even if additional works are declined.

Delivery & Installation Conditions

Safeguard Safes provides professional delivery and installation, including:

  • Transport to site via crane truck or appropriate vehicle
  • Placement into final location
  • Anchoring into solid surface with high-tensile bolts
  • Demonstration of locking mechanisms (e.g., digital locks)

Client Responsibilities:

  • Confirm all keys, combinations, or codes are received and functional
  • Confirm safe position before anchoring (charges apply for relocation)
  • Ensure clear and structurally sound access for delivery/installation
  • Notify Safeguard in advance of any inductions, access issues, or safety requirements

Site Access & OH&S

  • Quoted prices assume ground-level access with one step
  • Additional charges apply for stairs, long carries, or restricted access
  • Client is responsible for permits, traffic control, or approvals if required
  • Unexpected site conditions may require extra equipment hire (e.g., forklift, crane), billed to client
  • Idle time caused by site delays is charged at $350 + GST per person, per hour
  • Failed deliveries incur a $795 + GST fee plus technician costs
  • If lifts are required, the client must arrange technician access and accept responsibility for lift suitability and safety

Structural Responsibility

The client is responsible for ensuring:

  • Final floor/surface can support the weight of the safe
  • Slab scans or checks are done prior to drilling or anchoring
  • All required approvals from landlords, centre management, etc., are obtained

Safeguard accepts no liability for damage where approvals or checks have not been arranged by the client.

Liability & Insurance

Safeguard Safes technicians follow strict OH&S protocols. We carry all required public liability and transit insurance.

In the unlikely event of damage, an insurance excess of $1,000 + GST applies and is payable by the client.

Safeguard is not responsible for:

  • Natural disasters, building defects, or third-party contractor actions
  • User error, tampering, or misuse of locking systems
  • Damage caused by undisclosed access or site conditions

Reporting of Issues

  • Any damage must be reported in writing within two (2) business days
  • Clients must not tamper with or alter safes without approval
  • Service call fees apply where issues are due to user error

Hire & Removal Terms

  • Full payment (including bonds) is required before hire or relocation
  • Clients are responsible for safes while in their possession
  • Cleaning, repair, or replacement costs are the client’s responsibility
  • Delays in return or removal incur additional charges
  • Safeguard may charge any card/account details on file for outstanding amounts

By engaging Safeguard Safes, you acknowledge and accept these disclaimers, terms, and conditions in full. These terms protect both parties and ensure the highest standards of service and safety across Australia.
