Interesting Facts About Wormald Safes and Kumahira Safes

The Wormald Safe and Vault Company Strongroom Doors included a good range for various applications such as the Wormald Strongroom door 7000 series, this was the flagship model as it was resistant to to high voltage arc/electrode piercing, all types of oxy-acetylene, and gas cutting as well as explosives, high speed drills & grinders and other known cutting instruments. They also manufactured the Wormald Safe and Vault Company Strongroom Doors 5000 series which is basically the same as the 7000 series, only the Wormald 5000 series safe has one four wheel combination lock whilst the Wormald 7000 series safe has two four wheel combination locks.

Other Wormald Safe and Vault Strongroom doors included the D1000 series which was constructed from 5mm steel plate with a 3mm steel lock case and incorporated a 51mm fire pan and the door was secured by six sliding 25mm diameter bolts on the front edge with anti pry bar at the back.

There was also the Wormald Commercial Strongroom Doors constructed of 3/8 steel plate, had an overall thickness of 4 inches and was secured by three sliding bolts. The Wormald Commercial Strongroom Doors come in five versions known as models CD-1, CD-2, CD-3, CD-4 and CD-5.

There was a Wormald STD. TR Strongroom door known as the CT-1. It was constructed  from a heavy steel plate which had a torch and drill resistant alloy and had an overall  thickness of 51/2 inches.

Other Wormald safes in their comprehensive range were the Wormald wall and floor safes, for example the Wormald wall safe models known as either WS1006, WS1009 and WS1012 or also WS-1, WS-2, WS-3 and WS-4. They were small compact wall safes constructed of 8mm steel body and 12mm door with standard safe key locking or a S&G 3 wheel combination dial lock.

The wormald in floor safes known as models Wormald floor safe HS, Wormald TR. floor safe, Wormald FS.5000 floor safe, Wormald FS.3000 floor safe also the floor safe with a deposit facility which was a ground floor safe with a lockable deposit shute to enable deposits without the safe having to be opened.
