Tank Safes and Sterling Safes

tank safes and sterling safes

Tank safes and Stirling safes are also known as Tanks Security Australia. Tank Security started their safe operations in the Richmond suburb of Melbourne in 1979 manufacturing the very popular ‘Round Tank Trading Safe’ and later relocated the Tank Safe plant over to Dawson Street Brunswick where they continued to have an innovative approach to safe design and manufacturing.

The Tank Safe Company introduced advanced safe security features such as the Tank mechanical time delay lock as well incorporating in the Tank round safe the dye bomb function, which was an additional security measure to the tank safe not previously seen in the safe industry. Tank security safes produced a large selection of safes including as previously mentioned the Tank Time lock and dye-bomb safe also referred to as the Tank security trading safe. This safe was a small retailer’s safe which could be easily mounted under the counter for quick cash deposits. The Tank safes come with locking options for example either a three wheel combination lock as well as safe key, or electronic digital locking supported by a tank safe key or the tank safes where simply supplied with a high security key safe locking system. The majority of tank safes or the sterling safes were fitted with either a glass relocker or mechanical re-locker as standard.

Some other very successful tank safe versions were the Tank TF1 and TB6 safes, and before I give some details about these particular safe models is the only difference between the TF1 and TB6 safes was the dimensions only as both versions were ideally suited as retailers safes as they are tank deposit safes and had a deposit slot in the front of the safe for easy cash deposits without having to open the main safe door. The tank TB6 and TF1 safes had anti-phishing protection so once cash deposits were made, they could not be phished out. Also both these Tank safes had pre-drilled bolt down facilities inside so they could be securely fixed down.

The Tank Safe’s home and office range of safes are known as the Tank HOS1, Tank HOS2, and the Tank HOS3 models. They were a lightweight safe range and the only difference between the three versions was the dimensions. All other security features remained the same on the 3 tank safes. It’s worth noting Tank home office safe model HOS3 version was the perfect size for till drawers and was specifically designed to accommodate a volume of cashier drawers and great option for cash businesses to secure till draws away. The Tank home safe and Tank office safes were available with different locking options including three wheel combination locking or electronic digital locking or high security 6 lever anti pick key lock.

Tank Safes and Sterling Safes commercial heavy duty series such as the Tank TH1 and TH3 safes were high security safes designed to protect large amounts of cash and expensive valuables. They were built using advanced technology and incorporated T.D.R (Torch and Drill Resistant) materials to ensure effectiveness against attack. This allowed staff to make safe and secure deposits without the need to access the main safe so this made the Tank TH-2 safe very popular with businesses who dealt with cash on a daily basis. Another advantage of the Tank TH2-C is the cash deposit drop slot compartment ideal for retail chain stores to control cash management.
