The Australia Safe Company, formerly known as Wormald Safe & Vault Company commenced trading under the new name of Australia Safe Company in March 1986 and their manufacturing was located at the time at Victoria Street Brunswick, Victoria. The Australia Safe Company safes were considered within the safe industry as high security safes which were designed and built incorporating advanced security features along with the latest developments in safe technology. 

The Australia Safe models 2000 series, 3000 series, 4000 series, 5000 series and 6000 series quickly became the preferred high security safe used by Banks, Financial Institutions, Jewellery Businesses, in fact anywhere expensive items or large amounts of cash needed a high degree of safe protection. 

When the Australia Safe Company released the (T.D.R) Torch & Drill Resistant branded the AUSTRALIA SAFE series, they were extremely popular throughout Australia where a high level of security was required. The flagship model in the Australia Safe range was the Australian Safe T.D.R safe versions known as the Australia Safe AS 2000 models, being AS 2001, AS 2002, AS 2003, AS2004 and AS 2005, this was a high security T.D.R safe. 

They also had the Australia Safe 3000 series which had two versions, being the models W3005, W3006, W3007 and W3006, also the AS 3001, AS 3002, AS 3003, AS 3004 and AS 3005. We believe the AS versions were the earliest version as displayed in the original document. 

The Australia Safe T.D.R (torch and drill resistant) also consisted of models known as the Australia Safe 4000 series which there was two versions as the original Australian Safe Company document shows, and the two versions were known as the AUSTRALIA SAFE series models W4005, W4006, W4007 and W4008, and the Australia Safe AS model AS 4001, AS 4002, AS 4003, AS 4004 and  AS 4005, which we believe the AS series are earliest version. 

The Australian Safe Company had the T.D.R 5000 series also known as models 5001, 5002, 5003 and 5004, which is another high security torch and drill resistant safe that represented the highest level of safe security.

The Australia Safe 6000 series, known as models 6001, 6002, 6003 and 6004 is another high security T.D.R safe that resisted oxygen/gas cutting and all other known forms of professional safe attacks. 

Along with the Australian Safe Company’s highly successful torch and drill resistant safe range was the Australia Safe Company strongroom doors range being the 5000 series and the 7000 series. There may have been other series in the range but we could only dig up information on the two original documents on the 5000 & 7000 series strongroom doors which both models represented the highest quality and security of what the Australia Safe Company’s safe engineers produced at the time.
