Class B & C SCEC Endorsed Cabinets

The Class ‘B’ SCEC endorsed swing door cabinets are designed for safe storage of Government classified documents and are typically 1350mm or 1849mm high, 920mm wide and 555mm for depth. The 1350mm high version has three removable shelves and weighs 95 kg; the 1840mm high version has four shelves and weighs 130 kg. They have a SCEC approved X-10 Kaba digital lock, indirect locking system that prevents force of the locking mechanism, heavy duty hinges, recessed door with minimum gap clearance to resist forced opening.

The Class ‘C’ SCEC endorsed swing door cabinets has the following specifications:

SCEC approved Bi-Lock mechanism protection by a separate metal panel. All other features are the same.

Government Class ‘A’, Class ‘B’, or Class ‘C’ SCEC endorsed security safes and cabinets. 

The Class A, B or C security cabinets, containers or safes & vaults are Government approved as they are designed and manufactured to comply with the strict standards of the security construction and equipment committee (SCEC), which is the standing interdepartmental committee responsible for the evaluation of security equipment for use by Australian Government Departments and agencies.

Class C SCEC Endorsed file cabinet with Bi-Lock SCEC / C Class

Typically Class C are used on filing cabinets, server racks, briefcases, double door security containers, key cabinets, PC security units.

The 2 drawer Class ‘C’ would be 670mm to 700mm height, width 510mm to 530mm, and depth 670mm to 725mm with a weight of around 85kg. The 3 drawer Class ‘C’ would be height 1020mm width 510mm t o 530mm and depth 670mm to 725mm. With a weight of around 120kg.

The 4 drawer Class ‘C’ would be 1340mm width 510mm to 530mm and depth 670mm to 725mm with a weight of around 85kg. The 3 drawer Class ‘C’ would be height 1020mm, width 510mm to 530mm and depth 670mm to 725mm with a weight of around 120kg.

The 4 drawer Class ‘C’ would be 1340mm width, 530mm to 530mm depth and 670mm to 725mm width, and a weight of around 140-160 kg.

Typical sizes for ‘B’ Class filing cabinets / containers would vary slightly in dimensions and weight but are very similar. The main difference is the locking mechanism. The ‘B’ Class will have either Kaba X-10 or S&G 2740 Class B Digital, whilst the ‘C’ Class have a Bi-Lock exclusive restricted key lock that is SCEC approved.
