Safeguard Safes SCEC endorsed Class ‘B’ and Class ‘C’ key cabinets products are approved by SCEC on the basis they comply with the security specifications and requirements approved by the Government authorities. These Class B and Class C key cabinets are commonly used in a protected office located and are an effective key management system.
These particular SCEC endorsed wall mounted Class ‘C’ key containers and the Class ‘B’ key container are available in 100 or 300 key capacity. They are primarily designed to provide secure storage and positive protection of high security keys against tampering and covent entry.
The Class ‘B’ and Class ‘C’ security key containers are fitted with the appropriate level grade of locking mechanism such as the Class ‘B’ key cabinets have a KABA X-10 digital lock fitted to them whilst the Class ‘C’ key cabinets have a high security bi-lock key lock. Both the ‘B’ Class KABA X-10 and the ‘C’ Class Bilock restricted key lock are designed to be resistant to manipulation and physical attack.
Another SCEC approved lock that can be used on ‘B’ Class security key cabinets is the Sargent and Greenleaf also known as S&G, being the S&G 2740 Class ‘B’ advanced electro-mechanical digital lock as is the KABA X-10. The S&G 2740 can also be used on all SCEC approved cabinetry requiring spy proof dialing sequence. Both the KABA X-10 and the S&G 2740 are trusted well known name SCEC endorsed locking solutions for Class B secure key cabinets and are the finest choice by Australian Governments for the protection of the most sensitive material.
The Class C security containers are supplied with a bi lock high security key lock which is approved for use on Federal Government applications. Our secure key cabinets are available as a ‘B’ Class or ‘C’ Class 100 key capacity cabinet or as a 300 key capacity cabinet. Both our ‘B’ Class 100 capacity key cabinets and ‘C’ Class 100 capacity key cabinets have an option of expansion by adding our 200 capacity key insert expansion leaf as both the ‘B’ & ‘C’ class security key storage cabinets have the provision to store up to 300 keys. Key storage hooks are fitted to the inside face of the back panel and also on the removable hinged expansion leaf.
Other security and compliance specifications that need to comply with the strict SCEC endorsed standards include each Government (SCEC) endorsed Class B and Class C key cabinets has to have a unique serial number which is a nine digit serial number that is permanently marked on an identification label fixed to the top right hand corner of each B and C Class key control cabinets.
The key cabinet door structure extends a minimum 20mm above and below the door opening. The door itself needs to be recessed into the cabinet and has additional strength with a stiffener welded to the internal face whilst the door must not be removable from the key cabinets body to as not to depend on the hinges for security anti-tampering proof is activated via a removable cover plate which extends the full height of the door and covers the internal boltwork.
Both our class ‘B’ key cabinet and our class ‘C’ key cabinet are designed and constructed to the same dimensions and what determines if they are a ‘B’ or ‘C’ class security key container is the locking mechanism being the KABA X10 digital lock for the Class ‘B’ key cabinet and the bi lock master key system for the Class ‘C’ key cabinet.
