Everyone enjoys a good deal, but there is always a trade-off between price and quality.
The CMI Basic Grade Strongroom door and frame SRD4 is the most affordable vault door I can locate that is built in Australia. The door and frame are excellent; the outer “plate” is 6mm and the frame measures4 mm. They are 310kg in total weight.
Sadly, our Australian workforce must compete with foreign labour, which is why Vault doors are more affordable when produced elsewhere. The sales of CMI doors that we used to sell gradually decreased.
The Guardall KS-SD Vault door, which is now available for $5879 plus delivery and is still reasonably priced, was the next cheapest in line we found. This door features a 4mm frame and a 12mm outside “plate.” It’s important to keep in mind that the CMI charges an additional fee for the internal emergency release that comes with the KS-SD door.
Our most recent inexpensive vault door also features a 6mm outer plate and a 4mm outer frame, it also has an internal emergency release. We install the LaGard digital lock on this door, and if necessary, we can also install a keylock.
